This is Olivia, reporting from the flat, Copenhagen, Northern Europe.
Usually it’s quiet here on Sunday and usually it’s our day off, but today I was called upon. The Humans were fiddling about with some things and suddenly needed my help. The Man has this very strange electrical thing which, when you open it contains a loop of tape. It wasn’t functioning correctly and I had to inspect it and find out what the problem was. Here I am, inspecting…

It turned out to be a pretty uncomplicated problem which just needed the soft touch of my paw to mend…

The Man was very pleased with my pawterity
This was Olivia, reporting live from Space Echo 201 (my new best friend).
P.s. We’ve been very puzzled when some of our friends have been posting about something called football, but we’ve finally found out what it is.
Hi,
It’s Cliff here. Nothing new to report. Snow outside, which means it’s all pretty and that - but also salt. Lots of salt. And salt means no taking the humans out on their leash. Sheesh!
Well, we of the feline purrsuasion know how to pass the time. Napping. In the sun. On our quilt. (And the wonderful mat from the Quiltcats).

And of course I hang out with Skrumlehesten.

Take it easy.
Cliff
PS: Olivia has a real sheepskin. I can’t stand the thing, it give me shivers down the spine - literally. Prefer my quilt.
As we’ve written before there has been a lot of snow around here lately. Our friend Khyra asked us if she could see it. That turned out to be a bit difficult. First of all snow in the city is pretty lame compared to snow in the country side.
We can’t go to the summer house because of the snow, so as the country side we can only refer to the pictures our neighbour took there a while ago.
Since it’s pretty cold outside we don’t go out at all and the Humans only go out when it’s strictly necessary. But we did manage to persuade them to take this picture of our snowy view.

There is one huge advantage with snow though; it makes the city silent and creates a beautiful light
And now. Pictures of us! Here’s Cliff posing for pictures:

And here’s one of Olivia. All soft and girly.

A few days ago the Man called the Woman on his way home from work as he usually does. He told her to ask us if there was anything we needed.
I told her I’d always felt I needed a pony to hang out with and take for walks. Olivia said she really needed a puppy to cuddle and snuggle with.
The Man is always very good to us so we anticipated his arrival with extra enthusiasm. After all we were expecting new additions to our household!
And look here’s my pony Skrumlehesten…

And here’s Olivia’s new puppy Balder named after the Nordic god and our favourite woofie who lives near our summer house…

We’ll tell you more about them once they’ve settled in.
Cliff & Olivia
Our Humans are lazy. They can’t seem to keep up with our mail. We wonder why - we don’t get nearly as much as they do…
When they finally agreed to help us we found some very important mails. Some of them was from Maggy, Zoey and Ann. They gave us this beautiful award:

Thank you so much! We’re honoured.
While we were forced to take a break from blogging for a while in 2009, Ann posted these pictures of us on Collectibles by Zoolatry. We think they are really cool, so we thought we’d post them too…

Have a wonderful weekend!
Cliff and Olivia
The weather was just awful here yesterday - a real blizzard! Snow falling, winds blowing, the works! We’d curled up and hibernated in the Humans’ bed.
But then the Woman went to empty our postbox. And there was a packet there for us! All the way from our friends The Quiltcats in US. Now suddenly the sun was shining in the middle of the blizzard
The packet contained a beautiful cat mat and a sachet filled with organic lavender from Virginia for our Woman - and a beautiful card. Look…

Cliff: I just love the new mat. I’ll share it with Olivia in time of course, but for now I’m just loving it (in fact I’m asleep on it now) - and the lavender sachet smells wonderful! The Woman says I only get to sniff the sachet as long as I’m very careful with it.
Olivia: This is just so great! The mat is beautiful
Just look at the amazing fabric.
Thank you so much Paula, Sylvie, Louie, Fuzzy and Gingy. And thank you for being our friends.
Purrs,
Cliff and Olivia (& the Humans)
It’s still awfully cold here and the Humans tell us there’s more snow on it’s way. But today the sun was shining.
Here I am on my pillow on the windowsill…

And here’s a few pictures of my toes in the sunshine…

For the next couple of days I think I’m staying right here. Inside. Close to the radiator.

In my opinion life’s been somewhat sad lately; the weather’s been dark and cold, I haven’t been able to go for walks because of all the ice and something called “salt” (the Humans say it’s all over outside and that it’s bad for me), haven’t been to the summer house for ages, not to mention all the upheaval the Humans have caused… it’s been bleak times around here for a while.
But I sense somehow they finally understood that I’ve been depressed. And today they decided to cheer me up. So they opened up an old box.

At first I didn’t know what to think of it. It looked odd and the things on it moved very quickly and made a strange sound.

They call it a “racing track”. I’m not sure they’re even allowed to use it. I think it’s for little humans. But I’m not sure our Humans are really grown up, so maybe it’s OK.

Well, it worked! I had a splendid time! And I’m still smiling
They’ve promised me I can play with it at least once a week. I think that’s fine.

Humans aren’t so stupid after all. And look; Olivia liked it too.

But then I really got into it… the chase! And the hiding.

Can you see me? Or my whiskers

And then it was enough and I rested on the finish line.

This is Olivia reporting from the reorganized flat in the cold Northern Europe.
My brother, as you may know, has been a bit upset because the Humans were changing things around here. I won’t say anything bad about my brother but in my opinion he just doesn’t see all the new opportunities.
E.g. the other night I spied a nice piece of string with a tassel attached. It was really pretty and I’d never seen it before. I decided to take a closer look at it. Only problem was that it was on the second shelf from the top in a very tall book case.
But by way of the window sill, the Woman’s desk and finally a turntable, I got to it (as you can see I got caught by the pawparazzi)…

And look, it’s really nice. So I decided to nibble at it a bit…

When I was finished with the string and tassel, I thought I’d look if any other opportunities presented themselves…

But then I was discovered by the Humans, and had to make a speedy retreat which caused the turntable to wobble dangerously on it’s stand - that made them pretty miffed
This was Olivia, reporting live from the turntable, Copenhagen, Northern Europe.
Have a fab weekend!
