Birthday and Sunshine

Filed under: All three, Both, Cliff, Georgie, Olivia — tt @ 2:55 pm

We’re teen years old today and you can tell we’ve been good all year because the sun is shining from a clear sky. Olivia is in the garden…

Cliff on the terrasse…

And birthday flowers in the garden…

We’ve been promised extra treats today… schrimps :-) Life is great.

P.s. A small birthday gift from us: Georgie with his very first mouse. He caught it a few days ago all by himself…

Lazy Monday With Georgie

Filed under: Georgie — tt @ 4:10 pm

Cliff and Olivia have very kindly let me borrow their blog to write a bit about me…

Before we moved house, the Humans thought that maybe life in a flat wasn’t suited for me. They say I was sad a lot when we were there - and sometimes did things I wasn’t supposed to (like eating potted plants and teasing and chasing Olivia). The Humans even (with heavy hearts) went as far as to find a new possible home for me where I would be able to have a life outside and run free. But as it turned out, it was the flat and not me that was wrong :-) I’m very happy in our new place. No more eating plants and chasing and teasing Olivia. The Humans say I’m the goody two-shoes of the family now.

When we’re at the Summer House I’m allowed into the big garden. I could go through the fence, but I don’t. Why should I? I’ve got all i need inside. Like nice feathers…

and lots of space to do what I want…

In the back corner of the garden i have a secret hideout under a pile of branches where I go to take naps. When the Humans call for me, I come as fast as I can - unless I’m asleep, then it might take a while.

It’s rainy and cold today, so I’m having a lazy mondag in the flat, but I hope sping returns soon. Then I’ll be back with more pictures from the garden.

:-) Georgie

Spring Actually

Filed under: All three, Summer house — tt @ 5:45 pm

It’s officially spring here. The sun has been shining, we’ve heard the larks singing - and look the blue anemone is in bloom…

We’re spending time in the Summer house in front of the fire…

We’ve been away from the cat blogosphere for a long time. Meanwhile we’ve moved house. The Humans we’re kind of sneaky about it (although the amount of nice cardboard boxes should have warned us something was up). We went for a nice vacation in the Summer house with the Big Man. It was the end of December, so we stayed inside by the fire, enjoying lots of cuddles and a nice quiet time. After a few days the Humans arrived and stayed with us until after new year.

When it was time to go home something odd happened. We arrived in a strange place and all our things were there! We were a bit miffed at first, mostly because the Humans were so sneaky. It didn’t last long though. Our new flat is great. It has a view of the water and a yard - both great for bird watching…

It’s got more space too, which means we’ve got more nice places for cat naps and plenty more space to play and run around.

Here’s a picture of our Easter tree…

This is Cliff (on the leash) and Georgie on a walk with the Humans…

Here’s Olivia NOT wanting her picture taken…

and Cliff enjoying having his taken…

Georgie playing with his friend Miffy…

Spring greetings from

Olivia, Cliff and Georgie (aka Angry Aunt and The Tuxie Boyz)

P.s. We had a small drama some days ago. Georgie climbed too far up a tree and got stuck. The Man climbed a ladder to help, but Georgie ended up like this…

clinging to the outhermost branches. The Woman took pictures - not very nice! Luckily the only thing that ended up wounded was Georgie’s pride ;-)

Summer Post

Filed under: All three, Summer house — tt @ 3:05 pm

We’re still here :-) Thoroughly enjoying life. The weather has been wonderful for a long while. Today it’s raining though, so we’ve persuaded the Humans finally do their job and help us at the computer (a few years ago Olivia tried operating the Man’s laptop using her talons… let’s just say it didn’t turn out very well.)

Apart from spending time in our garden, sniffing Nip and trying to catch butterflies we’ve also had time to nap and generally enjoy each other’s company. Siblings are the best after all.

Georgie or Shorty - who is neither short nor small any more - is enjoying the higher degree of freedom we have in the Summer House. The Man built us two platforms on our birch tree which are great for snoopervising both the garden, the road and the Humans when they are inside the house. This is Georgie doing his typical relaxation pose.

The Humans sometimes return with pictures from the trips they take while we’re napping. This one shows the sunset over Nexelø, a tiny island west of Sealand. A gratuitous landscape.

Summer is nice. We hope you are enjoying life out there - regardless of the season.

Pictures from the Summer House

Filed under: Both, Summer house — tt @ 6:39 pm

We’re still here - and doing fine :-) But it’s been a bit hectic around here. Once Georgie (or Shorty as we call him) got a clean bill of health he had a bit of difficulty adjusting to life in a flat. But things are improving now that we can spend more time in the Summer House. Even the Humans seem more relaxed.

Here’s some pics from the last time we were there.

Olivia with tiger stripes…

Cliff taking it easy…

Some of the many birds who live in our garden…

They take good care of their young…

And Georgie was up to his usual tricks. Here he is exploring the roof of our house. We’re not allowed to climb up there but he doesn’t think rules apply to him…

And he gets away with a lot of mischief because of his charm.

Summer greetings from

We Are Tuxies

Can you tell us apart?

PS: Our Humans are terribly lazy. We’re trying to get them to visit our friends. We will succeed. We are tuxies.

Hi There!

This is Georgie. My big brother Cliff and The Mysterious and Elusive Black Cat (my brother says she’s called Olivia) said that when I felt up to it, I should properly introduce myself to their friends. So here I am to tell you a little bit about me.

This is The Mysterious and Elusive Black Cat:

I was born on Friday the 27th of August 2010, at 2.30 am.

My favourite pastimes are being around the Humans (especially in their arms or on their laps), eating, playing and sleeping.

Me, reclining on a Human (you can see where my tummy was shaven when I was at the hospital):

My favourite toy is my tail. Sometimes the Woman tells me to give it a rest, she says I might hurt myself if I play too wildly. Silly! My second favourite toy is my rubber duck, especially when the Humans let me play with him in a bowl of water :-D

Me, drinking kitten milk:

My favourite hiding places are: #1 - Inside Fred (my giant pink turtle) and #2 - Behind Cliff (he’s been very good to me and I feel safe with him).

Me and Cliff:

I moved in with my family on the 24th of January and I stay in the kitchen. The Humans tell me that in a few weeks I get to explore the other rooms. But I don’t mind staying in the kitchen; I’ve got everything I need in here.

I like my new home and my siblings. I would like to get to know The Mysterious and Elusive Black Cat better though, but she seems to dislike me. I don’t know why - I always purr and make little kitten noises when she’s around to reassure her and show her I’m not dangerous. I guess I’ll just have to give her some time.

Oh, and thanks so much for purring for me when I was at the hospital. My siblings have awesome friends.

Me, with Human:

See you later,

Georgie
