Normally I’m not into indoor climbing, that’s Olivia’s thing. I prefer trees, big trees. But since I can’t climb my trees in the courtyard, I decided to try my luck with the bookcases…
I considered climbing further up…
But then - of course - the pawparazzi caught me…
and then I had to get out of there (that’s Sam in a blur).
Cliff
P.s. The Humans have been on their best behaviour since we threatened them with our attorney, Jens. No wonder; he’s a pretty tough mouse!
You seem to have forgotten that you have certain responsibilities with regards to us. We thought it best to put them in writing.
You must provide cuddles, hugs and kisses (not too many wet ones in the face, though) at any time. This applies to night time as well.
You must feed us what we want, when we want it.
You must play with us (this mostly applies to Olivia, since Cliff isn’t into playing).
You must take us for walks (when we’re staying in the flat, this only applies to Cliff).
You must move over when we want to sleep in the big bed - it is ours after all.
You must hand over any food of yours we find interesting - and the keys to the Ham Safe!
You must assist us when we want to visit our friends in CB - we can’t stress this enough!
You must assist us when we want to blog! No more lame excuses about you being busy, tired, having hardware problems, wanting to go for walks in the sunshine. It just won’t do any more!
You have been found guilty of being in violation of (at least!) §7 and 8. You may consider this a warning. If you fail to comply to our terms within a week from now, you will be placed on probation, the terms of which will be established later.
You may reply to our attorney, Mr. Jens Q. Musensen, AAL, currently staying in Juneau, Alaska.
Kind Regards,
Mr. Cliff S.C. & Ms. Olivia S.C.
P.s. We would like you to note that we are both in the photo - Olivia is hiding behind Cliff’s whiskers.
Today - according to the calendar - it’s spring. It doesn’t look like spring. The winds are blowing and snow is coming down from the skies. But we know it’s spring. Because we were at the summer house this weekend. And we saw spring… look…
When we arrived everything was white, but the Humans said it was thaw, so the snow would disappear soon. There was a lot of snow on our terrace and we don’t like that much snow - much too cold. But the Woman shovelled it all away! So we could go outside and look for spring. And it was there; birds were singing and building nests, the sun was shining, little green things were sprouting from the earth.
We were both outside in our courtyard. There were lots of snow there too, but Olivia braved it to go and sit on her favourite stone…
Temperatures were above zero all weekend so we could stay outside for a long time. We didn’t sleep for most of the night; we just sat and snoopervised night creatures outside the house. It was good to be back. The Humans seemed to think so too. So we spent the Sunday relaxing…
The Humans took pictures of course - and even videos (we’ll post some later). But they’re not always that clever with a camera. This is me, Cliff, running from evil snow…
Winter has been here for long enough. But it doesn’t look like it’s going to end. Ever. So for my Sunday reporting I sent the Humans out to look for Spring.
I wasn’t too optimistic when they showed me this. No sign of spring.
But look! Who’s that fellow to the right? I made the Humans approach.
Oh no. It’s mister Winter. He’s still here. It looks bad. Very bad. I urged the Humans on and on. And look. Finally a glimmer of hope.
They look bruised and battered, but they’re here! There’s hope, friends.
Now I think I’ll close my eyes and hold my breath until the snow is gone and Spring is here.
Olivia
PS: My look in the picture is also known as: “Go away with the flashy box, Human!”
This is a very exciting event. Thank you for arranging it, Fin. We’ve been having so much fun watching our friends and told the Humans that we’d like to enter some competitions too.
Huffle Mawson is hosting Competitive Napping and we’d like to enter with this photo:
For the “Synchronized Snoozing” competition, hosted by The Island Cats we’d like to enter this:
The “Extreme Climbing” competition is hosted by House of Cats. Cliff would like to compete in the “Outdoor Division” with this (it may not be elegant but it sure is extreme):
We’re supposed to write seven things about ourselves and then pass on the award…
Olivia has a new nickname (she has dozens already): Bettefae (meaning something along the lines of “little critter”).
Cliff loves to have his picture taken. The Humans call him a supermodel.
Olivia loves fresh peas, they’re fun to play with - and yummy.
Cliff can’t understand why Olivia likes peas.
Olivia talks a lot.
Cliff talks a lot too - but not to anyone in particular.
We were adopted from a cat shelter when we were 1½ years old and we have a great life. So we can only say: Adopt cats!

PS: With the ongoing Cat Olympic in mind we found this picture from our archives.
Valentine’s Day isn’t that big around here, but I’d like to send a special Valentine’s purr to Crikey, who’s also celebrating his Birthday today. Happy birthday, Crikey!
And Happy Valentines Day to our friends!
I’ve found a new favourite place. The Man has rearranged his desk and the result was a perfect place for me. Right next to him and with a fine overview of the apartment. Perfect for snoopervising - and for napping too
I’m looking serious just to confuse you. I’m actually very pleased.
This is Olivia, reporting from the flat, Copenhagen, Northern Europe.
Usually it’s quiet here on Sunday and usually it’s our day off, but today I was called upon. The Humans were fiddling about with some things and suddenly needed my help. The Man has this very strange electrical thing which, when you open it contains a loop of tape. It wasn’t functioning correctly and I had to inspect it and find out what the problem was. Here I am, inspecting…
It turned out to be a pretty uncomplicated problem which just needed the soft touch of my paw to mend…
The Man was very pleased with my pawterity
This was Olivia, reporting live from Space Echo 201 (my new best friend).
P.s. We’ve been very puzzled when some of our friends have been posting about something called football, but we’ve finally found out what it is.
We're Cliff and Olivia, domestic cats, siblings born 1th of May 2002. We have two humans - the Man and the Woman - living with us in our apartment in Copenhagen, Denmark.
