Tail Chasers Club

It’s time tail chasers unite. Chasing one’s own tail is so much fun. The idea for this club was actually my sisters, so thank you Olivia.

The only criteria for membership is that your tail has a name - and that you chase it ;-) It’s not important if you chase it in public or prefer to chase it without an audience. It’s also not important if you actually catch your tail - cool if you do though! In the spirit of friendship I’ve decided to allow dogs to become members as well - all though I’ve only met one dog who had a name for it’s tail and she’s even caught it! If you’d like to become a member (or maybe nominate someone else) please write a comment below.

Be sure to write the name of your tail. The woman helped me draw a logo and Olivia was kind enough to model even though she’s not a tail chaser herself.

  3. Rosie is the only one who chases her tail and it is named Murry. As in Furry Murry, if you want the proper name. Rosie and Furry Murry would love to join the tail chasers. Maybe Mom can even get a pic of her doing it one day. She has caught it a couple of times!

  6. Since we have a lot of tail-chasers in our apartment, is that means all of us can join this club or we should name our name and her tail (human has tail?) to be the club member? :P

    What ever it is, Jebat is the ultimate tail-chaser in our home.. So we would like him to become a member.

    We will get our bunnies to become members, but they only chase the others’ tails.. Does it count?? :P

  10. Mom said it is hard to find the name for the bunnies’ tail… So we put in the ultimate tail-chaser bunny (errr.. she chases other’s tail and run in circle while chasing!)

  16. That’s a neat club. We’d try to join but none of us have named our tails. Never even thought about it. That’s it– we each chase our tail, so we must each have a tail named “It.” :)

  17. Hi Cliff, Hi Olivia… this is Maggy (from Zoolatry) and I have a most interesting tail; sometimes it looks one way, sometimes it looks different. My tail is named “SWIFFER” because it is very much like the Swiffer-Dusters my bean uses… though when she has me available she doesn’t really need those! Unlike her Swiffer-Dusters though; mine is not available in a Refill Box of 5 at the grocery store. I’m going to post a picture of “SWIFFER” next Monday, OK?

  18. Hi Cliff, Hi Olivia… this is Zoey (from Zoolatry) and I want to join the Tail Chasers Club, too. My tail is named “FANCY”. My tail, like Maggy’s, looks different sometimes. But no matter how it looks, it’s still fanciful. Which is just right for me, cause I’m a fancy-fanciful feline! I’m going to post a picture of “FANCY” next Monday too, OK?

  21. I is the only 1 of us at Petronious the Arbiter that chase tails. The other 5 don’t no the joy of tailchasin’. I chase it in the bathtub and unner the desk and on a box and even sumtimes on the floor. My tail is Twitch and I is Luna.

  24. I would like to join. My name is Fenris. My tails name is Hróðvitnir and I can actually catch it. I am just a puppy. I wonder if I will be able to catch it when I am grown. Right now I run around in circles with my tail in my mouth and the cats stand around and watch me.

  25. Well I thinks the easiest thing is to tell you what it means Hróðvitnir (Old Norse “fame-wolf”[3])

    See my whole name which is a mouthful is Fenrisúlfr (Old Norse “Fenris wolf”[2]), but we just use Fenris (Wolf can be my middle name we guesses).

    You can blame the boy beans for the difficult to pronounce names. Mommy will ask them how to say it when they gets home, cause I am sure she doesn’t pronounce it correctly. The cats say she mispronounces things horribly.

  27. I think my tail is called Fluffy, although it doesn’t say much. My name is Diamond. I prefer to look at my tail most of the time rather than chase it, because it is so beautiful. It also keeps me warm when I curl up.

  30. The rest of us here at PTA were wonderin’ what the fuss was about tail chasin’. We see Luna do it all the time, and we just figured it was just her bein’ a DumDum. So we tried it out and found it to be okay, but we’d rather just chase each others’s tail’s. So we would like to nominate our tails even though we only chase some other cat’s and not our own; so here goes-

  47. Hi there…my kitties would love to be part of the club! They have all chased their tails, if not now, when they were younger. LOL. Mocha names her tail “squirrelly girl” Quincy names his tail “fluffy go lightly” and Emma names her tail “maytag” as in the brand Maytag for their washing machines because she is the cleanest girl I have! LOL!!

  50. Cocoa is a tail chaser. It all started because she’s too young to control it and when she’d sit sometimes, it would hit her in the face as it swished back and forth.

    Umm… hmm… I’ve never actually named a cat’s tail before.

    How about Loco? We have a Cocoa; why not have her tail be Loco? It already is kind of crazy.
